Meet Jenna

Jenna Kaufmann, MFT-Intern

Hi, my name is Jenna. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families heal and build a strong foundation from the ground-up.

I believe that when knowledge, tools, and skills are imparted with a sense of hope and optimism, transformative changes are possible.

My approach is informed by the belief that we are formed in relationship. From our earliest bonds with parents, guardians, and grandparents to the connections we build throughout our childhood, adolescence and throughout adulthood; our relationships shape our perspective. Most importantly though, they shape the relationship we have with ourselves; the one from which our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs emanate.

My overall therapeutic focus is on integrating our emotions with our thoughts for a more unified sense of self, productivity, functionality and, most importantly, joy.

Clinically, I utilize a psychodynamic approach that seeks to bring greater awareness to how our personality drives our thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns coupled with an emphasis on the way that our family of origin impacts that process over time. This general approach is tailored to each client’s individual needs.

I am trained in EMDR as well as Brainspotting; two tools that are designed to help people heal from their past experiences with trauma from the inside out.

I specialize in working with people that experience high emotionality; collaborating to develop greater awareness of their emotions, clarify their thoughts, increase their tolerance for discomfort, and experience a more interconnected experience of themselves, their relationships.

Fun Facts: I have called Las Vegas home all of my life. I grew up here; attended school here; and started my family here. The mental health of the people that call Southern Nevada home is important to me. I am honored to be a part of the work that is being done to increase the awareness and importance of taking care of mental health.
